Is India EV Ready? The answer to the question is not simple. Ofcourse if we look at the way things are moving from an Ecological point of view EVs are much needed. It helps in reducing Pollution emission and reduces our dependency on other nations for fuel.
But currently our infrastructure is not ready with enough charging stations and also surprisingly the government is encouraging but not as supportive as they should be for EVs - The Requisition cost of buying an EV for a consumer is so high that its almost double the cost of ICE vehicle so consumer thinks a lot before buying and this plays as a discouraging factor when buying an Electric vehicle for now.
We need to do research and improvise as to how to increase the range of the battery to cover more distance and to reduce the cost of the battery so that the car cost can go down. Also the negative news regarding the electric vehicles catching fire has to be stopped or the real cause have to be found out - We also need to understand that there are incidents where even Petrol or Diesel engines or CNG catch fire due to short circuit or some failure but they are not highlighted or go unnoticed. Every ones concerned about there safety so as a News Channel or Social media channel we need to have the responsibility and understand what is right and is to be published with a reason and cause of the fire and not just do negative marketing about it.
There are content on Instagram about TATA Nexon catching fire.
